Thousands of miles of single-track routes in Tanzania to explore
Biking does not get better than what is available in Tanzania. There are thousands of miles of single-track routes to explore. Most of these paths are nice and smooth and easy riding. Obviously there are more challenging routes for the adventurer. The mountain bike rides are designed to give you both a wildlife and cultural experience.
Arusha
Biking at Usa River and Tengeru Villages
This is a short and easy 2-hours ride mainly on single-track trails through the farming villages on the outskirts of Arusha. Most of this ride is flat and the tracks moderate to good. You will encounter local Tanzanian farmers, kids and general farming communities. The ride is partly shaded.

Biking at Usa River, Tengeru village and Mount Meru (half day)
This 3-hour bike ride will take you through the farming villages of Usa River as well as Tengeru. You will also ride a bit up the lower slopes of Mount Meru, into the lush farms of these slopes. Most of the tracks are in moderate to good condition.

Biking at Usa River, Tengeru village and Mount Meru (full day)
This full day ride will take you through the farming villages of Usa River as well as Tengeru. You will also ride a bit up the lower slopes of Mount Meru, into the lush farms of these slopes.This ride will be strenuous with steep up and down track following forest trails. Most of the tracks are in moderate to good condition.

Biking in Arusha National Park (full day)
You will enjoy a short game drive through the park en-route to Ngorodoto Crater from where you will start your ride. The ride mainly goes round the rim of the Crater with stunning views into the Crater. A ranger will ac the ride since it is possible to encounter buffalo. Other animals likely to be seen are Colobus Monkeys, giraffes and various birds species. The ride is partly on a gravel track and partly on a small animals track that can allow for some muddy riding. There are steep up and steep down parts during this ride.

Manyara
Biking at Mto Wa Mbu village
You will enjoy a 2-hour mountain bike ride through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. On this ride you visit local farms, schools, church, milling machine a local bar and enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant village.

Biking at Mto Wa Mbu and Great Rift Valley
Experience local cultures from your bike on a 3-hour mountain bike ride through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. You visit local farms, schools, church, milling machine, a local bar and enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant village. Cycle to the lake shore where there are stunning vistas of the lake, the Rift Valley Wall and small herds of wildlife. The ride is on fairly flat single tracks. We can include a local lunch, in the midde of the village (price $30).
